About Presidio » A Carbon Neutral Organization

In the spring of 2005, the Presidio School of Management became an associate member of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX). As the first college in California to join the CCX, the School pledged to fully offset greenhouse gas emissions from its electricity use, travel, and fuel consumption. In 2008 LiveNeutral took over the School's membership and the School now works with LiveNeutral, and its partner ClimateCHECK to offset 100% of its annual GHG emissions.

Soon thereafter, Presidio MBA students launched LiveNeutral, a nonprofit organization committed to climate change action and education. Now run by Presidio MBA graduate Jason Smith, LiveNeutral extends its CCX membership to the public, enabling companies and individuals to offset their own emissions through direct participation in emerging markets for greenhouse gas emission reductions. In addition, the organization works with an extensive list of companies and nonprofits, providing them with a variety of sustainable solutions.
